Matured in a refill hogshead, this whisky is sweetly peated on the nose, with a style of butter cookies (slightly burnt). The palate opens sweetly and develops to soft tar and bonfire ashes. The finish is long, smoky with a quality of honey, cloves and a smoked meat.
