Single Malt Speyside 41°
Situated in the town of Craigellachie, the Distillery was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824. Prior to that, whisky was distilled illegally at an old farm close to the ford across the River Spey at Easter Elchies.
Matured in sherry casks. Rich, fragrant and complex nose with hints of smoke and light fruit. This cask strength is best awakened with water.
The palate delivers what the nose hinted. Sweet, peppery and rich. Very full. Well balanced and full-bodied. A rare beautiful Speyside malt.
